TATA IPL 2022: In the last 2 balls Gujarat Titans (GT) player Rahul Tewatia smashed two sixes in those two balls. Moreover, Shubman Gill made a record for the highest Indian Premier League (IPL) score as Gujarat Titans (GT). On Friday during the evening match, Gujarat Titans (GT) won the match by six wickets.

Shubman Gill’s Performance In The Ongoing League: 

Shubman Gill, who smashed 84 runs in the prior match played against Delhi Capitals, was in high-handed form as he cut, drove, and smacked the Punjab Kings bowlers to hold one end together. He shared 101 runs in 11.2 overs with debutant Sai Sudharsan (35 runs off 30 balls) to maintain the Gujarat Titans (GT) on course in the run chase.

It was not a simple chase though as the Gujarat Titans (GT) required more than 11 runs an over after Gujarat Titans lost Sudharsan’s wicket and Rahul Chahar (1/41) in the 15th over.

In a critical finish, Shubman Gill lost his wicket in the ensuing over after his captain smashed two fours off Kagiso Rabada (2/35). The Gujarat Titans required 19 runs from the final over bowled by Smith (0/35) and 12 from the last two balls and Tewatia performed in the last two balls spectacularly.

Liam Livingstone Statistics In The League Matches: 

Untimely, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, this Indian Premier League (IPL) expensive foreign player, made complete utilization of a lucky acquit to hit a second consecutive half-century and assist Punjab Kings post 189 runs for 9 wickets.

Livingstone, who received a bid for Rs 11.5 crore, hit 64 runs off just 27 balls to score the most runs for Punjab Kings after being asked to bat first.

He shared 52 runs for the third wicket with opener Shikhar Dhawan (35) to revive the Punjab innings after they were 43 runs for 2 wickets after the powerplay. 

Livingstone, who smashed 60 runs off 32 balls against Chennai Super Kings in the prior match, survived by the skin of his teeth in the ninth over, when he was on 14 runs, as Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya’s foot touched the boundary ropes while trying to take a high catch off-spinner Rashid Khan (3/22).

The Englishman took complete benefit of the ‘life’ coming to him as he reached his fifty off 21 balls. In the end, he struck seven fours and four sixes in his quickfire knock.

Gujarat Titans (GT) registered 3nd win under their name. They played 3 matches till now in the league. Out of three matches, they won three. First, they registered win against Lucknow SuperGiants and second against Delhi Capitals. They won by 6 wickets against Punjab Kings.
