The Board of Control for Cricket in India will extends partnership with BYJU’S on the Indian team’s shirt sponsorship. The BCCI’s Apex Council recently accepted the agreement with the Bangalore-based international educational technology business. The contract between the BCCI and BYJU’S was slated to expire following the Sri Lanka tour of India in 2022. The tour constitutes three T20I matches and two Test matches.
Members of the BCCI who are aware of the previous Apex Council meeting decisions announced the extension of the contract for another year. “It would have come to an end after the current series “, commented the members. BYJU took over as jersey sponsor in 2019, replacing Chinese mobile manufacturer Oppo. The agreement came into effect on September 2019.
BYJU is paying the BCCI 4.61 crore for a bilateral game and 1.56 crore for an international match.
