Pant’s agility and reflexes were on display in the 14th over of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ innings when he took a fantastic catch to send captain Shreyas Iyer back to the bench.
Kuldeep Yadav struck Iyer with a bouncer that turned away from him. Iyer was able to go and get a bottom edge on the ball as it lingered just down the pitch. When the ball came close to Pant’s boots, the wicketkeeper extended his right hand.

Talking about the catch taken by Pant, after the face off between DC and KKR came to end, Pant stated that he maintained his focus over the ball till the end (keeping his low catch in mind). Further he said that he has been keeping numerous balls in the nets and he claims that catch was his best catch till now in this season.
Delhi Capitals confined KKR to 146 runs at loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs thanks to Kuldeep Yadav’s four wickets and Mustafizur Rahman’s three wickets. Nitish Rana was the leading scorer for Kolkata Knight Riders, smashing 57 runs during the match.
