The IPL mega auction was held this year in Bangalore on February 12 and February 13. A few players went unsold in the auction and one of them was Mr. IPL aka Suresh Raina. He listed his base price as ₹2 crores. Despite his consistent performance, he received no bid.
Suresh Raina is a Former Indian International Player. He earned the title of ‘Mr. IPL’. Though, Suresh Raina is known as a Hostile right-handed middle series batsman and periodic off-spinner with amazing fielding. He is a perfect definition of “All-rounder”. He also received the opportunity to captain the Indian Team.
In 2008, Suresh joined the Chennai Super Kings. He played for 12 years as a Chennai Super Kings. On Monday, Chennai Super Kings members praised their “Chinna Thala” from the Heart. Suresh Raina says goodbye to the team this year.
Raina was the foundation of success earned over years by Chennai Super Kings. He was popular for scoring the highest runs in the history of IPL played by him. However, on Monday, the CSK team paid their tribute to their star player by sharing a video on their official Instagram page. The video captured all the best moments of the team with their Chinna Thala. However, the video highlighted his performance from his first debut in 2008 as Chennai Super Kings.
The CEO of Chennai Franchise Honorable Kasi Viswanath explained the changes required due to which they have to leave Raina behind. Though losing an amazing player is hard for the team, they have to bid goodbye to Raina.
