IPL 2022: Lucknow Supergiants Register A Win Under Their Name In 12th IPL Match Against Sunrisers Hyderabad

IPL 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Supergiants: Indian Premier League’s 12th match, held on April 4. The match was scheduled at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. Lucknow registered a second win under their name during league matches. The first win that Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) earned was against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, in the prior match, held against Sunrisers Hyderabad Lucknow Supergiants won by 12 runs. However, Sunrisers made 157 runs at the cost of 9 wickets.

12th IPL Match Statistics: 

The toss result came in favor of Sunrisers Hyderabad, they chose to go for bowling first. Thus, Lucknow came on the ground to bat first. The opening batsmen of Lucknow SuperGiants were KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. However, Lucknow SuperGiants didn’t have a great start as after 1 overpass they only hit 3 runs. Unfortunately, in the second over Lucknow Supergiants lost their 1 wicket. 

After 3 overs passed the team made 16 runs at 1 wicket. In the next over, LSG lost the wicket of Washington Sundar. Further, Manish Pandey comes on the ground to bat with the second opener KL Rahul (Captain). At the end of the 4th over, Lucknow were at 17 runs at cost of 2 wickets. In the initial overs, SuperGiants faced a hard time. As the overs passed, at the end of 9 overs Rahul smashed 68 runs in a partnership with Deepak Hooda.  However, at the end of 12 overs, Lucknow landed on 85 runs at the cost of 3 wickets. 

In the 15th over, Deepak Hooda made a half-century. However, In the middle of the next over Deepak Hooda got caught and Lucknow lost their fourth wicket. At the end of 20 overs, Lucknow SuperGiants set the target for Sunrisers Hyderabad i.e. 169 runs. 

The Sunrisers came on the field after they delivered a bowl for 20 overs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad had a kick start in batting as well. Till the end of 3 overs, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 25 runs without losing any wicket. As the half match passed, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 82 runs at the cost of 2 wickets. After that, the downfall started for Sunrisers Hyderabad, as they lost their 6 wickets till the 18th over. After 2 overs passed, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the match by 12 runs.
