Harshal was also the final wicket for RCB, who were bowled out for 115 runs in their 145-run chase. He spurned a handshake from Riyan Paragon on his way back to the dugout but went on to shake hands with other Rajasthan players.
As Harshal passed by his extended hand, Parag returned his gaze, before turning back to his colleagues and celebrating their 29-run triumph, which propelled them to the top of the IPL 2022 points chart.
The Royals’ Riyan Parag stole the show with his bat, saving them from a top-order collapse. He came in with the score at 68/4 after 9.3 overs and smashed his first half-century of the season to help the team reach 144/8.
Parag hasn’t quite hit his stride with the bat this season, but he was at his best on Tuesday, hitting 56 off 31 deliveries to help his club post a solid total. He had three boundaries and four sixes in his innings. As RCB was bowled out for 115, he also took four catches, one of which was Harshal Patel.
