Jonty Rhodes Captivates Audiences As He Touches Feet Of Sachin Tendulkar

Jonty Rhodes captivates fans through his performance. Rhodes even became the reason for smiles of millions of fans of Mumbai Indians’ after their team subsided to their fifth successive loss against Punjab Kings. Rhodes, who at some time played for Mumbai Indians, has now become part of Punjab Kings and made it his duty to uplift Punjab Kings gameplay. As the teams came on ground to shake hands as the match came to an end and Mumbai Indians lost another match of the season. Rhodes went and touched Sachin Tendulkar’s feet out of respect. This was no exception as Tendulkar is entitled as ‘God of Cricket’ in India. Numerous cricketers, well known names such as Yuvraj Singh and Vinod Kambli never appear shy while touching Tendulkar’s feet out of respect. Currently, Rhodes appeared to do the same.

Jonty Rhodes: South African Cricketer

Jonty Rhodes is a hard-working player. As playing cricket did not come naturally to him, he did a lot of hard work to come where he is right now. In the initial years, he got an opportunity to become part of the team because of his fielding ability but he soon realized that he needed to work with the bat as well. He completely changed his batting technique, which assisted him in enhancing his skills as a batsman. After the change, he smashed more than 50 runs in Tests and in ODIs he was innovative, and earned the title of first batsmen to play the reverse-sweep.

Also, Jonty became one of the first cricketers to take paternity leave. He took a semi-retirement when his daughter came into this world. At one stage in his cricket career, Jonty had more backing than any other team-sports player in South Africa. During the 2003 World Cup, An unfortunate incident occurred as Jonty underwent the fracture on the finger cut-short his career. Soon, he retired and participated in Gloucestershire in County Cricket.

After retiring from all kinds of cricket, Jonty received an opportunity to get hired by Standard Bank as an account executive. Currently, he is a fielding coach of the South African national team and Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

Jonty Rhodes Respect For Sachin Tendulkar

In a video recorded by someone captured Rhodes touching feets of Tendulkar. The Master was soon to stop Rhodes after which he embraced him. But the moment was captured and the fans’ appreciated his gestures. Here are some of the top reactions. Rhodes’s gesture came after Mumbai lost their fifth consecutive game on the run which means they are deteriorating at the bottom of the table.
