56th IPL Match 2022: Jasprit Bumrah delivered one of its best stints you’ll see around the IPL on Monday evening at the DY Patil Stadium, yet that is not enough to hoist Mumbai Indians out of their lethargy in IPL 2022.

The two-time top players emerged back with a vengeance into the competition now since Bumrah’s disastrous 5/10 in four overs of slightly elevated spin bowling constrained Kolkata Knight Riders to 165 for 9 in 20 overs, as Pat Cummins (3/22), Andre Russell (2/22) and Tim Southee (1/10) decided to return back twice as hard to make sure a 52-run win that retains their energy up in the playoff chase.

Clearly absent MI were reduced to 113 all out within 17.3 overs, conceding their previous 8 stumps for 44 runs within only 42 balls, with Suryakumar Yadav sidelined again for the entirety of the IPL owing to a left forearm muscle strain.

IPL League Points:

Kolkata Knight Riders have played twelve matches in the league so far. They won five of the eleven matches they played in the continuing league, but they also lost seven of them. The squad is placed at the 9th position, unfortunately the squad came down as the league matches took place. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, played in eleven league matches. In the current league, they have won only 2 games and lost nine times in the league. Unfortunately, the five-times champions are struggling to make it to the top of the league. This league Mumbai Indians are at bottom.

Match Highlights: Mumbai Indians Vs Kolkata Knight Riders

After capturing merely five picks in ten games in IPL 15, Bumrah managed to tear into the Knight Riders, recording his best-ever stats in T20 cricket, despite his efforts being fruitless. Sporting fire, the 28-year-old exploited the pull shot to devastating effect, claiming two wickets in his third over, a triple strike immaculate 18th over (he grabbed 3 strikes in 4 deliveries and ended up missing a hat-trick), and a one-run 20th over to totally shred the KKR innings. The notion that he delivered so many more as 18 balls in a row demonstrates how often he controlled the batsmen.

After breezing to 87 for something in the first ten overs, KKR crashed spectacularly in the second period of their innings, conceding eight stumps for 78 runs in the final ten overs.

There are many sports in the world. Some people likes football, and others likes cricket or basketball. But I love to play cricket because it is a game of gentalman. I am a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler. I played an inter-college tournaments. Also, I represented my college cricket team as vice captain. Ms. Dhoni is my idol, and the Chennai Super Kings are my all-time favourite franchise.
