After injuring a muscle in his left forearm, Mumbai Indians middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav has been termed out of the rest of the IPL 2022. He sustained the injuries in Mumbai’s encounter versus Gujarat Titans on May 6, wherein he hit an 11-ball 13 to help his team win by five runs.
The decision to suspend Suryakumar from the Mumbai Indians’ squad was made in conjunction with the BCCI’s health team, according to a statement released before their match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday evening.
Suryakumar has been incapacitated for the 2nd time in recent months due to injuries. He spent 3 weeks rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru before the commencement of the IPL after sustaining a hairline fracture on his thumb in the final game of the T20I series against West Indies on February 22.
