Yesterday, Gujarat Titans (GT) locked horns against Punjab Kings. The star player of the match was Rahul Tewatia, who gave a stupendous performance. In their first face-off, Punjab Kings (PBKS) were heading for a win. On the contrary, Rahul Tewatia was aiming for a twist of fate for the Gujarat Titans (GT). The game took place at Brabourne Stadium. Gujarat Titans (GT) had won, resulting in batting for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the first innings.

Highlights of Gujarat Titan’s Innings.

The initial 15 overs played by Gujarat Titans (GT) were going as per the plan. The team lost only two wickets until then and the score was 134 runs. It was kind of entertaining to watch Shubhman Gill approaching his century.  Gill’s partnership with Hardik Pandya (c), could have been much better. Gill, however, had run out of his wicket. And hence, the dreams of Gill scoring a century could be seen drowning. Not just the squad, but even the stadium’s booming crowd, was taken aback.

It might be a foolish move by the Gujarat Titans (GT). On the other hand, it turns out to be a blessing for Punjab Kings. The ball went straight into the hands of Mayank at the extra cover. Resulting in a massive loss for the Gujarat Titans (GT).

However, the captain of Gujarat Titans (GT) took over the match. He started sending the ball ahead of the boundaries. Getting the audience all hyped up, Pandya hit consecutive fours. Even Pandya was getting all the energy to make it through for the team.

As the teams progressed, the game began to take on a cinematic feel. Hardik Pandya (c) was run out by Bairstow in a stunning change of events. For those who don’t know, Bairstow is the wicket-keeper for Punjab Kings. Bairstow gave his fans a never seen side of him. It was a total shocker as Jonny Bairstow enacted MS Dhoni. After the match, Bairstow revealed from where he got inspiration.

And now the “Lord” Rahul Tewatia was heading to the pitch with his bat-like sword in hand. The first ball delivered in the last over was a wide ball. To win in two balls, 12 runs were required at the finish. A thrilling end to a dramatic match, when Rahul scored two sixes at last.

Nevertheless, Gujarat Titans (GT) have once again proved themselves. Even though it is their debut season, the team has been constantly upscaling their graph.
