Mumbai Indians (MIs), have a kick-start while playing in the league on March 27. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians (MI) played against Delhi Capitals (DC). In the Indian Premier League 2022, Rohit Sharma received a chance to lead Mumbai Indians this year. Unfortunately, Mumbai Indians (MI) lost their initial match of the Indian Premier League. Thus, Delhi Capitals (DC) won the match by 4 wickets. The toss came in favor of the Delhi Capitals (DC). Hence, Delhi Capitals captain decided to bowl initially.

Mumbai Indians (MI) Vs Delhi Capitals (DC) 

Mumbai Indians initially started the match by batting. The match was held on Sunday (March 27) in the afternoon. Lalit Yadav (All-Rounder) and Axar Patel (All-Rounder) outshined in the league match held on Sunday. Both All-Rounder of Delhi Capitals Awestruck Mumbai Indians during the match. 

Mumbai Indians made 177 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. To win, Delhi Capitals required 178 runs. However, Delhi Capitals made 179 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Delhi Capitals made 72 runs for 5 in 9.4 overs. When Mumbai Indians Bowler, Basil Thampi knocked out Shardul Thakur in the 14th over. However, to win the match Delhi Capitals was still 74 runs away from the target. For achieving 74 runs, they were only left with 6.4 overs. 

Further, Lalit and Axar splintered 75 runs in 30 balls in an unharmed 6th-wicket stand. They enclosed the match with spare ten balls.  They started steadily, Lalit accomplished 48 runs in 38 balls, while Axar smashed 38 runs in 17 balls. 

Mumbai Indians made a good start. Kuldeep Yadav took the lead of the league. Ishan Kishan remained on the ground for long as he smashed 81 runs in 48 balls. Mumbai gave a good challenge to Delhi’s capitals of 177 runs for 5 wickets. Earlier, It appeared Mumbai Indians will name the match, but Delhi Capitals All-Rounder seized the match in the end. 

Unfortunately, the Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman missed the initial match of the league. Further, he undergoes surgery for his airline fracture in the thumb. Finally, He recovered under the supervision of the National Cricket Academy and returned for the next match of Mumbai Indians.
