Having a consistent back as MS Dhoni’s long-term descendant, Rishabh Pant made his spot at the back of stumps permanent. He retained his position behind the stumps for the past three tournaments. Further, Forgoing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shane Watson withhold from comparing MS Dhoni with Rishabh Pant. Shane Watson Statement Over Comparison Made Between Pant And Dhoni

Shane Watson, Former Australian All-rounder and Chennai Super King player. He was questioned in regard to the Comparison between Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni. He played numerous matches alongside MS Dhoni. Shane Watson perceives that the two players are very distinctive from each other. 

Further, Watson said they both comprise Different playing styles. However, he feels that the two players have some similarities as well. They both follow a similar kind of Leadership style. 

During a press conference on Tuesday, Watson stated Generally some people have a habit of comparing apples with other apples. Further, he added Every person has their own identity. Even he gave a statement that every player has their fine distinction and skillset. He states Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni are very different people as well as players. He appreciated Rishabh Pant’s leadership quality. As he says Rishabh as a leader, he is cool by nature and similar vibe he experienced with MS Dhoni. 

Pant at the age of 24 years old, he still needs to cover a long way in his cricketing journey. With every passing tournament, the Delhi youngster seems to enhance his performance. Whether it is with regards to his skills with the bat and behind the stumps, or leadership. As far as comparing Rishabh Pant’s skills with MS Dhoni goes, Watson said that people can do that at their own comfort.
