In top speed with Liam Livingstone’s counter-attacking 60 runs off 33 balls which comprises five fours and four sixes. Opener Abhishek Sharma smashed 31 runs off 25 balls and in-form Rahul Tripathi hit 34 runs from 22 balls and failed to transfigure their beginnings but the modest total meant that Sunrisers Hyderabad did not have to worry much in the end. West Indies wicketkeeper-batter, Nicholas Pooran smashed 35 runs not out from 30 balls and Aiden Markram hit 41 runs not out from 27 balls then accomplished the formalities with an unbroken 75-run partnership from 50 balls.

Unfortunately, Punjab Kings had to play without their regular skipper and captain Mayank Agarwal. He underwent a toe injury during his training session. Punjab Kings were also let down with their careless fielding. They missed a runout and conceded simple runs defending a small total. Markram completed the chase in the succeeding over hitting Vaibhav Arora for successive boundaries. He hit a six to seal the issue with seven balls to spare.

EndNote:

The win took Sunrisers to eight points. The team moved up from the middle-table rush to climb to the fourth spot. While PBKS remained on seventh with six points from numerous matches played in the league. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings 18 times comprising all the IPL season till now. Lets see if Punjab Kings will move upwards on the Points table for the league.
