Domestic Career
Miller played his First-Class debut for the Dolphins’ final game of the 2007–08 Domestic SuperSport Series. Furthermore, he scored a half-century in the very first innings he batted.
Miller played two matches in the Pro20 Series Twenty20 competition for the Dolphins.
David made eight appearances in the One-Day MTN Domestic Championship competition, though his final match stopped after just three overs due to some reasons. Miller scored 13 runs in the whole competition. Furthermore, Dolphins finished fifth by the end of that league.
In May 2018, Miller joined the ten marquee players for the first edition of the Global T20 Canada cricket tournament. In 2018, he went to play for the Winnipeg Hawks in the players’ draft for the tournament’s inaugural edition.
In the same year, David Miller joined the Durban Heat’s squad for the first edition of the Mzansi Super League. International Career
David Miller played his International debut after his thrilling performance for South Africa A against Bangladesh A. David made his Twenty20 International debut in the same year against the West Indies. Furthermore, David earned his One-Day International debut against the same team two days later.
In 2010, David smashed his first fifty against Zimbabwe and helped South Africa put up a total score of 351.
Furthermore, David Miller also played in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup for South Africa.

David Miller became one of South Africa’s top players at the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. Furthermore, he scored 324 runs with an average of 65 and a strike rate of 139 during the course of the whole tournament.
During that World Cup, Miller, along with JP Duminy, set the record for the 5th wicket partnership in ODI history as well as the World Cup history (256*).
Miller smashed 49 runs off just 18 deliveries in the semi-final. That innings got overshadowed as New Zealand won the match knocking South Africa out of the tournament.
Miller played his 100th ODI in 2017 to become the third cricketer in the world to play 100 One-Day International matches without getting featured in a single Test game. Furthermore, he made the fast T20 International century in just 35 deliveries.
IPL Career
In the 2013 IPL auction, Kings XI Punjab purchased David Miller for ₨ 6 crore. He played all the matches for the team that season. Furthermore, in 2013, Miller hit the third quickest century in the Indian Premier League history. He scored 101* from just 38 balls against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli dropped Miller’s catch in that match. But he says that David’s innings were the best innings that he had seen in the history of the Indian Premier League. Kings XI Punjab retained him for the 2014 IPL, the same year that the team reached the finals.
David Miller left the Kings XI Punjab before the 2020 Indian Premier League. Within the 2020 IPL auction, he joined the Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 Indian Premier League season. Furthermore, in 2022, he joined the Gujarat Titans at the MEGA IPL auction 2022.
