Devika Palshikar is an Indian Test and One Day International cricketer. She was born in Malvan, Maharashtra, India on June 20, 1979. She has represented the Indian women’s team, Maharashtra team, and West zone team. She has played one Test and fifteen One-Day Internationals for Maharashtra and West Zone in India’s domestic league. Although she plays as a right armed batsman, her predominant role is as bowler. She bowls Leg-break and googly.
Debut
Devika Palshikar had her Test debut against the Australian women team at Adelaide. She was part of the Indian squad led by Mithali Raj for their Women tour of Australia and New Zealand between February 18 to February 20, 2006. In the first innings, she played nine overs and gave 17 runs with an economy of 1.88. She also scored 6 runs before being dismissed. In the second innings, she was dismissed for 1 run. The Australian team won that match by an innings and 4 runs.
Her ODI debut was spectacular as she displayed a career best performance against the Pakistan team for the Women’s Asian cup. The match was held on Jan 2 2006 at Karachi and was the 6th match for the Indian team. She bowled 10 overs and took 3 wickets for 12 runs with an economy of only 1.20. She was also declared player of the match for her performance.

Coaching career
After pursuing a coaching career, she was appointed as India’s assistant coach for two years in 2014. She also coached the state teams of Assam, Mumbai, and Goa in India. Devika Palshikar was named assistant coach for the Bangladesh women’s international cricket squad on April 11, 2018. She is collaborating with national team head coach David Capel.
