Former Women Indian Cricketer, Snehal Nitin Pradhan: She came into the world on March 18, 1986, in Pune, India. Currently, she is 35 years old. She played as a Batter in the Women Indian Cricket team. Her gameplay appears to be in Right-handed batting style. Also, she followed the Right-arm medium-fast bowling style. 

Snehal Pradhan received an opportunity to participate in six Women’s One Day Internationals and four T20 Internationals, as an Indian representative. Currently, She works as a freelance sports journalist, broadcaster, and YouTuber. 

Snehal Career Statistics

Snehal participated in the One Day Internationals match 2008 against Pakistan. She participated in three matches in 2011. She played against England, Australia, and New Zealand. Snehal maintained an average batting rate of 13 in One Day International matches. While she kept up with an average batting rate of 2 in T20I.

She participated in more than 100 List A matches as a part of the Maharashtra Cricket Association during the period of 2005 and 2006 under the BCCI. Snehal got the opportunity to be part of the Maharashtra State Women’s Cricket Association from 2001 onwards. However, she was part of the Women’s Cricket Association of India before it shifted under the supervision of the BCCI. 

In 2005, Snehal participated in the Under 21 team representing India fielded by the Women’s Cricket Association against Pakistan. She shared her matches with Jhulan Goswami as a medium pacer. She got charged under suspicion of illegal bowling action through the on-field umpires while they played against England. Further, she got suspended from the role of bowling. Though, she made herself free from all the allegations by ICC in the month of February 2012. 

She participated in the match played against New Zealand in June 2015, before she retired from the cricket world on 20 October 2015.

Snehal Pradhan arranges girls coaching camp 

Snehal Pradhan connected with Anantapur Sports Academy to generate an outlook for the girls who decided to take part and assist participants to upgrade their cricketing skills. 

Due to lack of effective coaching at the basic level hampers the performance and discourages the taking part of girls in tournaments or any other sport. 

Anantapur Sports Academy, this academy aims to provide effective coaching on the grassroots level to hinder the performance of the students. This academy was established in the year 2000. Currently, the academy comprises 970 players (out of 970, 728 boys and 242 girls) by the cricket strategy. 

Anantapur Sports Academy arranged a coaching camp with the support of Snehal Pradhan for a week. She started coaching from March 25, 2021, till March 31, 2021. The coaching camp consisted of 20 girls. They designed the coaching camp not just to teach skills but also to prepare girls for the opportunity they may receive in the future or they have currently.

Set up camps like these most likely have an utterly motive to show children the right path for participants in these camps and push them to their core potential. These camps polish the skills of the future cricketers and cricketers like Snehal help them a lot. They play a crucial role in the lives of future cricketers.  

Snehal worked when she became part of ASA camp

Snehal remained in touch with the students the whole week on and off the cricket field. She taught students a lot regarding a vast topic from nutrients a player should consume to the goals they want to achieve in the near future. She even shared her experience as a cricketer on and off the field. Snehal even talked about the One Day International matches and T20I she participated as a representative of India. Snehal stated over media that the better you are informal with them it provides a good opportunity to get to know them, after her interaction with the girls who took part in the ASA camp.

  • Snehal started her work in the Fashion Influencer niche on the digital platform Instagram and she makes a good amount of money from her content and sponsorship. 
  • She created her Instagram account on July 12, 2017. Snehal acquired 748K followers and she has posted more than 1394 posts.

Post-retirement: Snehal Pradhan 

After retirement, she engaged herself in the media field as an influencer and freelance sports journalist. However, since 2016, she has remained consistent with posting content over YouTube channels. Snehal shares tips regarding cricket over her channel, providing reviews and advice for cricket aspirants. She received an opportunity to come as a commentator for the 14th season of IPL.
