Former Indian Women Cricketer, Deepti Sharma: She came into the world on August 24, 1997, and she resides in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Currently, she is 24 years old. Her batting style in a match appeared as a Left-handed batsman. As for her bowling style, she goes for Right-arm off-break. Her determination pushed her so far that now she plays in the Indian Women’s team.

However, the one who does not have their profile over social media or does not have a smartphone, they are mistaken to be an antisocial person. And they seem to get denoted as nerds of the group. Deepti’s dedication to cricket shows how much she loves the sport. She appears to be a versatile player in the team. 

Though she seems to be one of the people who does not go with trends or does not fit the modernized environment but the all-rounder player of the Indian women’s team. She is aware of her priorities and that is her passion (cricket). While people her age seem to enjoy the perks of being on social media she is turning her dream into reality. 

To summarize Deepti Sharma’s moderation in a brief appears as she kept her distance from the modern technology but she installed WhatsApp when she got notified regarding being in a WhatsApp group which consists of all Indian squad members.

Deepti Sharma And Her Opening Partner Punam Raut: 

As we know Deepti Sharma maintained her distance from modern technology all her life. However, she made her WhatsApp account when the council asked her to join the WhatsApp group i.e. Indian Squad member. Through that group, she got aware of her innings while she played against Ireland in May 2017. Further, when Indian and most of the cricket lovers got drowned in the abate and went along IPL, the Agra-born talented player scored 188 runs while playing against Ireland which took place in Potchefstroom.

At that time, Deepti Sharma earned the title of the second-highest sole score in Women’s ODIs. Deepti accompanying Punam Raut together scored a 320 run stance for the opening wicket. They together were the best in international cricket. They tend to be the first pair to score 300 runs being in partnership in Women’s Cricket.

How Does Deepti Nurture Her Passion For Cricket?

The agitation towards the game did not completely occur as a matter of course. When she was 9, all she wanted to try and explore was how her brother enjoyed the fame he earned in local cricketing circles. Former Uttar Pradesh pacer, Sumit had his bowling action geared after Lakshimpathy Balaji (Former Speedstar) and a little surprise, he governed to build that tinge of enthusiasm all over him. 

However, her hairstyle favored her often though she would be mistaken for boy overtime when she started visiting her brother’s practice period. Little was she aware that one such occurrence would change her whole life as she grew her interest in cricket. After that, she never looked back. Further, on one good day at Eklavya Sports Stadium situated in Agra, as Deepti received a request to make a toss the ball stern into the ground afterwards she got engaged at the net sessions. When she tossed the ball, although stagnant, the ball hit the stump. 

Further, she got lucky as the projectile in which she was practicing was under Hemlata Kala (Former Indian Cricketer) who is chairperson of BCCI’s Women selection panel. As Deepti outstruck and there she received the chance. Though at first, she has also mistaken Deepti to be a boy and later when she foresaw that the kid who catches her eye would represent India one day.

How Did Deepti Make It To The Indian Cricket Team?

Deepti gave numerous auditions for a few years. Though she faced disappointment. As for passing the state level the age must be more than 15 years. Ans she remained left out as at that time her age appeared 15 years. Kala did not give up on her; she made sure Deepti had an adequate amount of experience before she went further. With a slow pace, Deepti improved herself more and more over the years and polished her game more. She became the all-rounder on the cricket field. 

She switched her bowling style to Off-spin from bowling slow. The switch she made did not come out naturally. As she switched because of the guidance provided to her  by the selectors and local coaches. After a lot of practice and hard work Deepti mastered the art of off-spin. After a lot of hard work, she made it to the Indian cricket team.
