Renuka Singh is a cricketer who plays for the Himachal Pradesh women’s cricket team. Singh was the leading wicket-taker within the 2019–20 Senior Women’s at some point League, with 23 dismissals. Personal Life

Renuka Singh belongs to a village named Parsa near Rohru town within the state of Himachal Pradesh. “My father loves cricket like anything and has called my elder brother Vinod after his favorite cricketer Vinod Kambli.”

Her father worked at Himachal Pradesh Irrigation and Public Health department at Rohru before he died in 1999. Then Singh’s mother, Sunita, became the breadwinner for the family.

Her Journey

The cricketer started her sports when she enrolled at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association’s women’s residential academy in Dharmshala in 2009. As per the report, Singh’s uncle Bhupender Singh Thakur encouraged her to do so.

At the academy, Renuka trained under coach Pawan Sen and Veena Pandey. Renuka Singh played within the Himachal Pradesh U16 and U-19 teams. She then joined the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) women’s one-day match in 2019. Singh took 23 wickets in the game. They were the utmost wickets taken within the game by any bowler.

According to Pawan Sen, the bowler scored a hat-trick with wickets in 2016 in the U-19 Himanchal team’s match against Karnataka, which motivated her.

Renuka Singh went to play for India A women’s team for its Australia tour and also joined the team’s matches against Bangladesh, Thailand, and India B. Furthermore, she took three wickets in four games.

Even in 2020, Renuka Singh picked nine wickets within the BCCI Senior Women’s at some point trophy match in March.

When asked what quite a task Renuka Singh might play within the World Cup, the Railways coach said that Renuka might be the surprise package as not many realize her within the international circuit. “New Zealand conditions help the medium-pacer.
