Prompt Life:

There are few players in the early modern era that have received the kind of acclaim that Dwayne Bravo has. Of course, the upheaval in T20 cricket, particularly the IPL, taken a vital impact, but the West Indians’ verve and character have been unparalleled. Bravo was a brilliant defender as well as a street-smart player with the both batting and bowling. All of this made him one of the most highly prized players in T20 leagues. Because of his versatility, he was created for white-ball cricket. Bravo was a traditional pitch spinner who thrived in the trudge overs of the innings, where he was invaluable to his team.

Bravo was undervalued as a hitter, but he managed to kick in wherever required, albeit it was as a spinner and outfielder that he reached his prime. Because of his number of co abilities, he received rich promises from T20 leagues, which he preferred to world cricket. His problems with the Windies organization probably doesn’t help. Notwithstanding this, he continued playing white-ball cricket for the Caribbean squad until late 2014, when, as leader, he ordered the team’s withdrawal halfway through their ODI tour of India. He was fired as leader and has since been forgotten in the format. Because of his T20 reputation, he carried on playing for the West Indies in the shorter tournament.

The Bravo brand was introduced in the T20 feature thanks to the IPL. After quite a slow start in the competition with Mumbai, the all-rounder found his stride in Chennai. Alongside captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, he has become one of the club’s key faces. His character suited the fandom of the franchise, and he was a key part in Chennai’s success. He received enormous bids from many other teams as a result of his renown, and he quickly became a phenomenon in the game, frequently ranking one of the most desired players during player auctions. Afterwards when the club secured him with the right-to-match card at the 2018 auctions, Chennai’s relationship with him acquired a new outlook on life. Bravo had been representing Gujarat throughout the franchise’s two-year exile.

While Bravo’s fame stems primarily from his achievements in franchise tournaments, his international efforts were equally noteworthy. In Tests, he shined with batting and bowling on several occasions, establishing oneself as a true all-rounder. He had a great experience in national colours from his debut in 2004 till 2008, but the T20 caravan wrecked things after that. Constant salary disagreements with the Board prompted him to seek the cash-rich tournaments, which also provided him with a lot of renown. Bravo retired from Test cricket in early 2015, but having practically left the format significantly earlier, despite not having played since 2010.

Bravo is now an unrestricted T20 player who enjoys his preferred format. Despite a couple mishaps in late 2016 and early 2017, he has recovered to full health and, as evidenced by his performance in the 2017-18 BBL season, he seems to have enough gas in the tank, at least for T20s. Apart from his abilities, he is a total entertainer because of the enjoyment he delivers through his antics. Bravo is undeniably still a necessary component of the format, and this might continue over the next few years. Bravo was unexpectedly recalled to the West Indies T20I squad in early 2020, despite the fact that it was a World Cup year and another T20 WC was set for 2021.

There are many sports in the world. Some people likes football, and others likes cricket or basketball. But I love to play cricket because it is a game of gentalman. I am a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox bowler. I played an inter-college tournaments. Also, I represented my college cricket team as vice captain. Ms. Dhoni is my idol, and the Chennai Super Kings are my all-time favourite franchise.
