Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022: While talking to Ravichandran Ashwin and Karun Nair, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed an untold incident that took place during his session with Mumbai Indians in 2013.
Yuzvendra Chahal is enjoying a great run with his new ballot in the Indian Premier League. Playing for the Rajasthan Royals, the leg-incentive has managed to keep it tidy. Also, He has taken wickets at regular intervals as well. Currently, he took seven wickets in three matches for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022. Further, he’d hope to continue his good coaching.
Off the field, Chahal is a character and an important-favored figure in the dressing room thanks to his easy-going station. Still, during his stint with Mumbai Indians in 2013, Chahal had to deal with an unsavory incident when a player got drunk.
In a videotape published by Rajasthan Royals on Twitter, Chahal along with Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin shared his comeback stories.
The leg- incentive opened up about an incident that he said that not numerous people know about the incident. He shared about his narrow escape in 2013 when a drunk Mumbai Indians player, who Yuzvendra chose not to name, suspended him from the deck.
“My story, some people know about. I’ve never spoken about this, I never participated in this. In 2013, I was with the Mumbai Indians. We had a match in Bengaluru. There was a get-together after that. There was a veritably drunk player, I’ll not take his name. He was veritably drunk; and looking at me and he just called me. He took me outdoors and he suspended me from the deck,” Yuzvendra told Ashwin and Nair on the videotape.
My hands were around him. Had I lost my grip, I was on the 15th bottom. Suddenly numerous people who were there came and got the situation under control. I kind of swooned. They gave me water, also I realized how responsible you should be if you go out anywhere. So, this was one incident where I felt I made a narrow escape. Had there been the fewest mistake, I would have fallen,” he added.
Chahal was a part of Mumbai Indians for just one season in 2013 after which he joined Royal Contenders Bangalore (RCB). The incentive had just played one game for Mumbai Indians in his debut season in the IPL and was unfit to take any lattices.
The 31- time-old also was a part of RCB eight times and is the most successful bowler for the Bengaluru- grounded ballot. Over eight times, Chahal managed to take 139 wickets for RCB.
Yuzvendra’s current ballot Rajasthan Royals have won two matches in the ongoing season. Their only defeat this season came against Chahal’s old platoon, the Royal Contenders Bangalore.
